The people who seem to meet in the distance, and the strong contrasts in that perspective were both the reasons for trying a shot of this scene. I think that the people are way too small, though, and the exposure has its problems too. I'd be glad for any ideas/critiques.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment and the good hint again, Dave!
Well, the mood was the rather unexpected meeting, when one just can believe the own eyes and the good luck to see somebody again after a long time. Then one stands still for some splits of a second just because of that unbelievable surprise. As those two guys in the distance seem to do too. It is this that makes me think that a closer approach could also make some of their face expression visible, their surprise, etc.
But if it is interesting this way too then I can be only glad for that.
A good light/shadow shot, and the perspective is well done here, Nick! Whether the people are too small or not depends on the mood you were trying to create, I think. The inclusion of the people does add interest to the shot the way it is. Dave.
Hej Nick, great job, really. I love this image very much, I like the point of view and the whole angle, have a feeling of a warm and nice atmosphere. Regards olga
