well who knows.. you are using the macro capability of coolpix without additional equipment. Have you seen "richard flake" and "mark plonsky".. they both use reverse 50mm f1.4 lens. I now got myself a f1.7 50mm fixed lens, and would be using it in reverse for 2x 3x magnification.
Good you are in places like Thailand or India.. best places for insects.. You don't need to look for flies, they will come to you when you are eating a mango or any sticky fruit..
