well Surajit the Power shot S3 did capture the moon as you see it (hand-held full zoom) the background is just digital noise to create the 'star-track'warp speed look.....cheers

hey Dave it's nice to be back...well sort of back. Actually I never went anywhere...I just had this problem of not being able to sign in to this site. I would try every email address I ever had, but none worked. I emailed UF several times, never getting a response. So today I just joined again and put this eclipse shot on. Actually the backgropund is just 'digital noise' which I thought was sort of like when they hit 'warp speed' on the old Star Treck shows. Hope you been well...will check out everone's sites in the next few days to catch up with what I've been missing...thanks to everyone for their kind comments..cheers

We were fortunate enough to have clear skies for the eclipse, too. It was very cold, but rather that than clouds. Your image shows the beautifully shadowed sphere of our celestial neighbour. I am wondering, though about your background and why you chose this particular one.? MAry

Interesante, aunque por el color rojo parece más marte que la luna..:-)
Un abrazo!
