No "yes, yes". A tripod is simply unavoidable if we talk about photography in such cases, Gustavo! Or of course we could also exercise to stay perfectly rigid for the duration of the shot - and I wish I could do that. But I can't! ;-)

La verdad en que nunca llevo un trípode, porque cuando tomo fotos no tengo mucho tiempo de hacer preparativos, porque se trata casi siempre de situaciones dinámicas o incómodas, así que confío en mi pulso, que bueno, no es el mejor del mundo...ja...ja...
Para fotos nocturnas o de muy alta exposición sí uso trípode, porque, en fin, no hay otra alternativa...

La toma fue con muy poca luz y a ISO 1600, en modo macro, así que puede estar un poquito movida y sin dudas tengo muy poca profundidad de campo, así que sí, el enfoque está muy ajustado..

Great light and coloring here, Gustavo! The contrast of the white pieces to the much darker blue checkerboard is really magnetizing, as is the diagonal perspective too. Perhaps some of the pieces should be more sharply in focus for matching that kind of difference between foreground and background? I have the impression that king and queen are not exactly in focus - or do my eyes cheat me?
