Thanks for your kind words Carla. Some times I wonder why I post here as I don't get a lot of views or comments. I prefer to work on my techniques and taking more images than solicite more views and comments. I stick with the High Contrast image post processing because it helps me concentrate on compostion. A test to see if I got it right. Portraits is an area I would like to explore in the future. But, I like being outside walking around, experiencing a place through my lens.
This shot is of Jimmy. A homeless man who hangs around where I work. He never bothers people and is a hard worker. Always cleaning up other peoples trash. He even rents out chairs to people standing line waiting for a show to start at the studios. Not your usual picture of a homeless person.
Heavy load on the mind as well as in the basket. I find it amazing how we (including myself) must hold on to every worldly posession.
I admire your photography work, as well as your post process work. I enjoy the street/candid/natural photography, although I continue to work on portraits to give the people what they want.
My daughter does the art you speak of, however by picking. She begins with an image, a sheet of imulsion type board, and a picker. She has done two for me, in which I have framed and hung on my wall. Like yourself, I do either the post process or shoot lithograph film.
