yeah tho Feinstein's work to me at least is more "Image as Specimen" rather than photography albeit achieved via a camera

Hi Roger, Actually I already had a similar image of this Anthurium (the angle is a bit digfferent) in sepia. And yes, I do know Mapplethorpe's flowers. I have the book with the same name. Although I must say I prefer the work of Harold Feinstein: a bit softer in his lighting. :-)

excellent image btw.. wonderful lighting Have you considered a sepia toned version of this with lovley soft focus.. might werk too have you ever seen Robert Mapplethorpes flower studies?? They are wonderful

Nice perspective, and i like the lighting. Tho there seems to be a dark(er) part in the top right corner, but this could be due to my monitor here. None the less, very well done.

A very useful angle to creat a character for this flower. very different flora shot. maybe lighting could be better!
