Ah crap - I should have looked a little closer at their feet - Clydes they are! I would have loved to see the 50 horse hitch. At our fair we had an 8 horse hitch which was very impressive but 50!! WOW that must have been something.

Hello Guy,

They are gorgeous, gentle giants. They are also Clydsdales. Personally, I can't tell the difference, as I know nothing about horses. However, I do know the owner of the horeses and wagon. His horses are in the Guiness Book of Records. For the 50th anniversary of the Navan Fair they hitched 50 horses (12 rows of 4 and 2 out front) to one wagon and driver. He showed me all 50 of the collars used for the hitch which he has hanging on the wall in one of his barns. VERY impressive sight.
