So good to hear from you, again, Priscilla. That really white spot in the upper middle of this image is due to some brilliantly lit trees behind the houses. I should have tried two shots, one overexposed, like this one, and then another underexposed, and then combined them in PS using the HDR merge feature of CS2. This little town is about 20 mile south of Gainesville on US441, and is full of vintage restore homes and churches. Regards. Anson

anson, looking at your new photos i notice the light spot in the middle of the photo...i got this on my sonys when i put the ir filter right over the lens. had something to do with the light bouncing back at the lens. i put a ND filter on there first in front of the ir filter and it fixed it. i like this shot great little town. thanks

You are too kind, Yazeed. I plan to return to this little town and recompose this shot, although it isn't too bad now. Thanks so much for the nice comment. Anson

I was chasing some clouds today when this was taken, but didn't catch them. Thanks for stopping and commenting, and I am pleased you like this one. Anson

Sorry, Minoo, but this picture was taken about 2 hours ago today. The trees with leaves still on them are oaks that never totally shed their leaves. The church is over 100 years old, and was getting a new roof today. I like this one too, and am going to try for an early AM version of it. Regards. Anson

Beautiful composition with great use of light. Am I wrong to assume that it was taken in the spring? I really like the atmosphere in this picture. Very appealing. Best, M.
