About ... or eye... which-ever. I have these. MM's mother took these... from the house of a Priest. NO! She did not steal them. She went to his house after he died to pay respects and was told, Take anything you like to remember Father ........ [I don't remember his name... prolly had a 'John' in there some-where] and she picked up his reading glasses... and a book and, welllllllllll.... a 250 pound clawfoot bathtub [which MM and I also have in the upstairs bathroom, refurbished and all]...

I think these are called Pince Nez spectacles...

I read that in one of the Sherlock Holmes stories. "The Adventure of the Pince Nez" or something like that.
WOW!!!! I just took off my regular glasses and pinched these on... I couldn't read squat... but I did have a sudden urge to pour water over a baby's head, rub ashes on an adult's forehead and give a homily.....

strange stuff goes on in the Jimmie room tonight....
