I agree with Al Unger, the softening has been just a little over done. The gizmo that is attached to her dress is distracting and should either have been removed or else cropped out. A reflector or some lighting on the rear of her hair on the right side would also have helped. I took the liberty of making some adjustments (just for the fun of it), hope you don't mind. The coloring isn't exactly as I would like it but I don't have the time to spare. Your view would also be appreciated.

Thanks Al. I appreciate your comment. I know I didn't really paid much attention about the B/G but I was trying to get the 'Hollywood effect' they were talking about. I'm sure this would have been better on a different background. But again thanks for your comment. Hey its the only way one can get better when they get an insight on what to improve.

Eric,
I debated as to sending you this comment, but I felt you want an honest opinion.
She is a lovely girl, with great eyes...but you've way over done the soft focus in IMHO. Her skin is not real looking, her hair is too soft in comparision to her face or an accurate DOF. My guess is you wanted to cover up some of the background as well as softening her skin. I think cloning may have been a better choice for the B/G.
Don't get me wrong, I like a soft focus efect and you'll see it quite often in my images.
