About keeping most of the flowers in focus succeded a bit more here. Still may of them out of focus. Would a crop be agood solution? Any comment would be very welcome.

Many many thanks again, Dave!

So let me see... I cropped a bit off from the left side. I guess you meant the green leaves that are strongly out of focus?

Cheers,

Nick

Cropped off left side after Dave's idea

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment, Visar, that makes many things much clearer to me! Your point I can take into consideration in many similar cases, when I wonder how much DoF is OK. And I don't mean florals which are not of any big interest to me anymore too. (I started photography with many of them but now...)

The parallel of yur point to other situations could be to translate the word "species" with some kind of distinct detail like for example points or lines, then to see how many different "species" will be in DoF, and to decide what to do - keep them, put them out of DoF, get rid of them, anything. It seems a very viable and also fruitable thought, that I must try out!

Thanks a lot again,

Nick

Beautiful colours and contrasts in this one, Nick! I might crop a little of the left side.

if the flowers were of various kind, then i would possibly mind the lack of focus, but here we do have a single specie and we have the idea of how it looks like-- so i see no problem in that, furthermore i think having some out of focus/ blurred adds to the picture- to me it avoids the monotony and makes it more attractive.
I have a few florals that i never posted any of them here (it is not my prefered field- just for the record :)) and what i have there is a single specie in many flowers and the DOF is throughout-- of course i am not comparing the pic, but i just do not like them- despite their natural beauty!
take care,
V.
