Thank you Laura - well the rainbow was very bright, but not quite as bright as shown in the photo. This is a High Dynamic Range photo, which is why it has a bit of a different look. If you would like to know more about High Dynamic range photography, you can google "high dynamic range photography" or "HDR photography"

Hi Adam,
Amaizing - this is the brightest, most intensely-colored rainbow I have ever seen! Did you do any post-camera work on this image? Or is it all natural?

Thank you! That's a beautiful shot. I don't mind the HDR on this one, really adds drama. If I were you I would approach the people from mellon bank, my guess is there is someone who works in that building who would LOVE a print. Maybe even enough to shell out some dough. :)

All rainbows are double rainbows, however this appears to be a supernumerary rainbow.

Thanks Arijit - it is actually an HDR image generated from a single exposure split into 3 images. After tonemapping, I did some noise reduction, a bit of dodging and then finished up with a bit of sharpening.
