And you are right in liking it, Edlira, because it is a very good image.

About the metal thing: Compositions that are kept simple and effective, like this one definitely is, do not win anything by adding things. They live from their purity, their simplicity. Anything superfluous weakens this purity and thus the strength of the image. The main thing here is the thoughful - or even abstract - look of the person. So, better to maximize absolutely and extremely its importance by embeding it in the void! Nothing to absorb our attention to somewhere else than on the subject itself. You see, it *is* an extreme photo, and thus the used means should also be extreme. Strength talen to the endth degree, so to say.

All the best,

Nick

Im so glad that you like this shot, as it is one that i like a lot! you are right about the metal thingy but I thought that it would just give an idea of separation of the frame just a bit of something there rather than just darkness but i guess after seeing your version I agree with you.
thank you again for the time!
take care
E.

Combining much darkness with some limited regions of light can result in such images, like this, that resemble a scene of a theater play - but a quite serious one! Except that metal thing (what is it?) at the left of the person, there is nothing to change in matters of composition. I added an attachement again for this reason.

The details on the face and the excellently illuminated glances on the hair make the atmosphere definitely strong! But above all I think it is the direction that she looks to and the reflection of light in her eyes that supply the necessary strength to the overall rather thoughtful atmosphere!

All the best,

Nick

Very vivid scene love the expressive attitude of it,
My only suggestion to try crop from the above approx 1.5"
And from your neckles center bit just little .75”
I like this composed style… great work , E!
Cheers,
Harry
