I appreciate the time you took to write this thoughtful comment. It is so true that many thumbnails do not show the strength of some images. Some times, there are nice surprises when the imae is open to full view. I wish I had more ime to look at more postings than I do.
I am doing okay, thank you. However, life has thrown an unexpected curve at us in the last while, and we have been incredibly busy. When I finally get around to posting another image it will expain (if I can work the image I would like to).

Mary, thanks for all your comments. I am sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I was just ready to reply to your last set of comments when these new ones came in.

I truely treasure your comments. I always feel they are genuine and constructive. With so many excellent photographers and so many posts more deserving of your notice than mine, I am honored to have you view my work. You give me hope that someday my work will gain greater recognition.

Your comments on this particular images is greatly appreciated. I did do a tighter crop that left out the ouline of buildings in the forground. But I decided against it for a couple of reasons. 1st, I would loose a little of the image quality by a closer crop. Tighter crops are more pixilated and not as smooth a texture that I liked with this full crop. 2nd, I thought it added more interest to the image in full frame, to pull you in. With so many beautiful sunsets posted here, I look for something in my images that will set them appart. To be a little different. It is too bad that so many images selected by viewers are based solely on the thumbnail. They miss some really great photos that can only be appreciated full frame.

I hope you are doing well. Your grandchildren much be getting big now. I look forward, as always, to your next visit.

In the thumbnail, it looks like the bottom section is all black. Upon opening it, I see that there is a lovely line of silhouetted trees that adds so much to this. The tower draws my attention to the vibrant sunset colours. On my monitor, the bottom section does look black and I was going to suggest that you consider cropping it so the bright strip is cut out so as to not disract from the other elements. Then, when turning my monitor to a differnt angle, I see there is detail in that section which could be easily missed. Maybe because it could be easily missed and look just black, it might be an idea to try a crop.
