About I was lucky enough to catch this opportunity for this shot after a very early morning photo shoot in Lexington SC. As you can probably guess i've adjusted the black point quite a bit.... I really wanted to show the mood that I felt and saw. I have not posted anything in some time now. My daughter's best friend's brother was hit by a drunk driver and killed. I've known this boy since he was a child. You just don't get to excited about photography when dealing with these things. The effect that this has had on my daughter and her friend has been devastating. They are all very young ( just out of high school ), and this is the first time they have had to deal with death first hand this closely. I think what has effected me the most is watching them deal with it. You see pain that you know they have never felt before, and I can only wonder how will they handle it. Hopefully not in a way that we have more funerals.

Excellent image Jeff the color, depth and shadows all add to the great atmosphere--It is very beautiful to view. I was very sorry to read your 'about'. We can all re-late to it but it does not make it any easier.

Sincerely,
Michele~

So sad to hear that. Though I have not experienced it, I understand how one feels loosing someone close. I can imagine the pain, specially when it was because of someone's elses negligence. I wish for your daughter, her friends and you the courage to overcome it.

Its a very beautiful image!! Lovely colors and mood!! Superb capture!
Warm regards,

Jeff, this is an absolutely wonderful photo... I love the intense colors and the contract between the two predominent colors and then the lone yellow flag and great line caused by the shadows and sillouette in the trees.

7+++

Now, about your absence and what you've had to deal with. My deepest condolences to you, your daughter, her friend and their family. I am sorry that this young man's life was cut short so tragically and by something that could have been totally avoidable. Life can be so very hard when it doesn't need to be. When will people ever learn that drinking and driving often times ends in devastation and loss of innocent lives. I hope that in time that all those affected by this will remember the good he had to share in his short life. But most of all, if they don't realize it already, they will have learned a hard lesson. The only way to make good on taking of this poor boys life is to continue to spread the message to never drink and drive.

I am so sorry and I totally understand your absence now. As a parent, it is hard to see your children go through such a horrible event. My prayers are with you.

Hugs,
Brigitte
