Rhodos island is south - east and that you see at the horizon line is Turkey main-land... it's about 20 miles away from that coast...

Good picture. Yeah you had quite the summer there. Friend of mine was there during the peak of the heat and fire. Said it was beautiful despite the fires. You depicted the feeling well here. What is that faintly showing in the background?

The contrast (monochrome/colour) is a gret decision! It simply makes the shot, which IS what the title says....the end of summer in the northern hemisphere!We might send you some rains...had more then enough with the latest typhoon!

hehehe.... I know that you love summer and not sooooo big love for winter but it's absolutely the different thoughs here for me...lot of fires last summer and lot of high tempratures...really I'm tired about 40C + tempratures...I need some snow...:-D

I specially like the beautiful coloured parasols and banks. They make a nice contrast with the grey of the strand and the sea. The shadows of montains in the background give an excellent dept to the picture. - An excellent work, one only small think : I should crop 2 cm from the bottom to improve the composition.

I know that many time also you have the same problem with us...any summer we have fires...and even some times there are from mistakes here there are lot of fires that are NOT from mistake...last month we lost about...2.500 square kilometers of forest....and Greece is NOT a big country! :-(

I don't know whether you have done any selective colouring here but this splash of colour against the grey foreground and background looks wonder and vibrant. Greece seems to be having a climate like ours...but thank God that rainy season is here already...good job John...
