I noticed that too Doyle - I am bad because I still get excited over an image and post it even when I know it is not as good as it could be ...... (BAD for me to do that)
BUT on the other hand - At least I realize what is wrong, and now that YOU ARE back to correct my mistakes there will be fewer ...
(why...I dunno ??????))))))) My nature I guess ((?))))))
Charlieb is short for 'Charlie Brown'...and he was tired then but not always in the mood for posing -ha!!!!!!! Again You are right with the title !

I like this Michele and the dog seems to remind me of a ferry passenger, huh? You used aperture priority to get a shallow depth and you got great focal clarity . . . b-b-b-but . . . you kinda, sorta missed the mark on the POF. When you look at the wood grain along the bottom and the exquisite focus in the lower left it becomes clear that that is the point of focus and the depth starts to detract from the focal clarity just as you pass that knothole in the wood . . . and, of course, gets progressively softer as it should. With a shot like this you would have had a much stronger impact if that POF was on the pup's eye . . . particularly when the expression is priceless like this one (perfect title)!
Good shot Michele . . . Charlieb seems to be more than happy to pose.

hahahaha....dog + hit = sleep for ever...hahaha that means the life I want .......kidding, they are lovely when they are so calm, great shot even the way you focus at the foot gives me an idea that the teeth are not the only ....wepon of a dog! :-D Good shot.

Thank YOu dear Nicki....I too am a BIG DOG Lover...but 'something about CharlieB ' ....he is very charming & most dog lovers always are attracted to him---I think becasuse he is soooooooo Social .....hahah!!! Yes Nicki he is 10yrs. & a little more... he is lolder but he still acts lieka a puppy too sometimes :)))
Our weather changes by the day to day....I think we have the same weather apttern --- hot, cold, rainey , windy , hot ,bla,bla...:))

I suppose that he was very glad to be at home in the shade:)) I know it from Sam he likes the winter more.In summer he doesn't like to go outside!!Charlieb is a cutie Michele!!Is he already older??A great capture of him!!!You know as a big dog lover I would give him immediately a big hug..)))).
