About Rice harvesting is perhaps one of the most charming of seasons within Pakistan. It comes during hot summers for which many people associate Punjab and Sind provinces.

As rice needs lot of water to grow and sustain, it is only grown in areas where water is plentyful. Therefore, many other places in Sind - which would otherwise be under cultivation - are not cultivated for rice and are left for either other 'drier' products or left un-used.
