The shadow and the monolith itself grew together to a single black symbol, Simone, but a symbol that won't say what it stands for. I find excellent the fact that there is so much light and so much darkness *and* at the same time many details on both high and low lights. And that contrast of the black monolith to the bright sky makes it feel also silent and historical. Perhaps a bit less centered and more skew perpective could give more emphasis to the monolith but then the continuation of the monolith itself onto its shadow wouldn't be as immediate.

Well done Simone, by going behind the oblisk and metering for the shadow you have created an artistic abstract, yet the sun has not burnt out any detail, the flowers behind the oblisk, in shadow, might be a problem for some people, but I feel ok with them.
