Interesting capture. I mean about the shadows of the door looks like an abstract work.

i don't think the sunflare particularly adds to it. try shooting this same picture (if there is a next time) from higher up, from more of a downward angle to eliminate the reflection the sun leaves on the lens, unless this is what you are aiming for. if that's the case, maybe if the light rays were more dramatic it would work well for my taste. i agree with carl about cropping the sky. i love the long cast shadows. i try to incorporate cast shadows whenever possible into my artwork, although not many are in my portfolio at the moment. i completed this project already as well, but haven't uploaded the photograph yet. please look at my portfolio, and keep up the good work. helping us become better photographers,
-Ronald
p.s. attached is a macro shot i took last weekend of a tree stump.

Ingrid,
I like the sun being shone right over the houwe, the only problem I have is the sun is setting at the wrong angle. I wish it was setting squarly in the center of the house. Can you speak to God about that and do it again?
Later my friend,
Russ

Nicely seen. I really like the shadow play here. One suggestion - try cropping right above the gate. With the sky out of the frame, my entire attention is focused on the shadows.
