Thank YOU for your kind words and information about how the sun was actually helping me...as I usually don't shoot into the sun BUT I did do it side-ways...and I also used a sun-filtre ...so I think that helped a lot... I am soooo new to this manually using my camera settings ruben it is a wonder sometimes that I get a shot :))

Hi Harry,
My interenet provider was out of service all day so I am just recieving this message now and I am sooooo greatful :)) Thank YOU for being honest with me, and for your help... Doyle Chastain has always been my Guru so to speak but he has been busy with other things lately, and because I don't have PS, or at least 'elements' he doesn't know what to tell me either sometimes... I actually just started in Feb. shooting with my first Nikon D40 - 'manually' and I do use 'aperture only mode' as well... I probably need to read the book again, and just keep practicing... This is my 5th month and it will take time to get familiar...I am not even familiar with the white balence :(( sooooooo I've a lot of experimenting to do :)) Robert Chin has also been a super help to me.... but now he is busy with some other things at the moment.... so when I saw your work , and you were honest with me I didn't want to loose that. I won't bug you ...I will flatter you to death probably because I do get soooo excited by photography and what some are able to do- 'like You ' , Doyle, 'Robbie'...
You are right ...my constructive critism list is not too available in the summer time I think .
Thank You for being the generous man you are, and kind..... Your humnmor is not bad either :))

Hey Michele :) You know I love to see good shots from you, of course we all learn :) I 'm wondering what type modes you use? Actually AV TV will be great for you to experiment, also M (manual mode) Shooting birds that depends of many things (1) Strong lighting or VS = always check your white balance and set properly (2) ISO 100? That depends might not be enough cause fast moving birds 200 min. (3)highly recommend …give your self time to experiment :) Posting your works it’s a great feeling but you must set back check and compare your works with the previous ones. Last I haven’t seen constrictive critics on your postings can’t blame or accuse anyone because time frame is really limited for everyone. Of course there the ones who comment only to top photographers, the ones who like to show off, the ones who things there the only ones
And the list goes on and on :):):):) That's culture de monde!!!!!!Cheers,

I actually find the gulls somewhat fascinating against those rocks looking so surreal. A lot of "ansjoser" in the water - I bet there must also be whales and dolphins out there dining then?!
