an excellent composition...and a fun creature to watch...looks like you managed the diffiulty of the black quite well...I find that early morning or late in the day is the best to get their colors...it adds a bit of golden glow that makes the detail come forward some...I love your background on this one...excellent work

Excellent image. You do enjoy bird photography! I think you've done a rather fine job in capturing the smaller details in plumage. Including the whiskery feathers on the cormorant's head. The lighting is very good.
