yeah its OK Patrick my monitor must read a tad dark as I uploaded a shot recently in which I had darkened the background only to get asked why I had left the b/ground so light.. after a quick look on the laptop I understood what they were on about... looks like its calibration time again

Hmm, I often wonder about whether people will be able to see some of my darker images... but I can only work from my monitor which has been calibrated, profiled, spring cleaned, you name it!

despite being very dark on my monitor I copied the image into PS and lightened it up to see it .. fine calligraphic poetry

Ahh, my photo angel! That Japanese quality is EXACTLY what I was aiming for... it's probably influenced by the fact that I spend all day staring at Hiroshige and Hokusai postcards in the shop I work in...

JUst beautiful with the light that sparkles in the darkness and the branches in the water and the reflections that give me the sense of being in a forest where the wind is blowing. Something Japanese about it.
