Amazing sky, beautiful clouds and stars viewed so well, you manage the long exposure perfectly and at the same time you get perfect quality without noise or hot spots into the image....but what I say now, you have the best night camera Dave!

Hi Dave,
I lOVED that YOU caught such a cool image AND you even added my name to it- I feel pretty special...especially after reading all that YOU went thru !!!! You are a very dear friend and I appreciate it very much more than words can say.
I wish I retained information better...It was just a 'unique' wierd thing that was happening on May 31st having the blue moon over here still in the month of May...yet it was June 1 ... on the eastern side of the world...aha!!! I get it better myself when explaining to others... NOW I BET YOU FEEL SILLY ..... and are glad You got it too huh? I hope so.....
You were teasing me about the shells tho and the names you called them ... Right ? I got other names and some recipes for cooking them as well so who knew that 'abstract ' would've created so much interest...not me !!! LOL!!!!!!!!!
Thank YOU Dave, now I see you've posted some new images I am anxious to see them. Michele~

Thank you, Ani! If you are asking about the brihgt light off to the upper left of the moon, that is a star or, I guess, as you said, Jupiter.... There's also a little sliver of a cloud just below the moon, which looks more like a refraction, but it was just a little tiny cloud.
Sorry for the delay, been gone on a photo trip.
Hugs, Dave

You did really well Dave!
And yes, we do actually share the same moon... all over the world!!! No rumour!!! True!!! Lol... I witnessed it here in Australia! (Although not at exactitude since it was full at 11.05am AST on 1st June... Tropical Geocentric celestial longitude degree of said Moon was 10 degrees 12 mins of Sagittarius...) Anyhow... it looked pretty similar the night before and also the night after... Sadly we had a lot of cloud cover so there was no opportunity for a decent shot. I wanted to capture it rising over the dam I have a great view of just up the road on "my" mountain. I have had the fortune of capturing a solstice (full) moon rising reflected in the dam... Hmmm... you have inspired me to hunt it out and post that image... thanks! :)
Love YOUR clouds! Whoohoooo! By the way, is that a dust spot or Jupiter I see shining big and bright just on the edge of the moon's "ring"? Jupiter was in conjunction (by celestial longitude) with that blue full moon ya know! :) :) :)
Next blue Moon not 'til 2009! So glad you captured this, and what a kind gesture for our good friend Michele! :)
Big Hugs and I hope your patushkas "reinstated" themselves after having frozen off... :)
Mwah! Ani :)

I kept looking and looking out my windows, which face east, and have yet to see the moon rise. It must be in a different position lately. The sky is perfectly clear...the weather here has been hot...upper 80's!
Very nice shot of the blue moon, Dave.:)
