This is my favorite Wells movie adaptation:

My preference has probably more to do with seeing it as a young child and nostalgia than anything else. The same could be said for so many films made from successful books. More unusual for a film to be better than the book.

I dunno. No one ever really does a good Wells film. They are all sort of good, but he was a pioneer in science fiction and it's hard to make his stories into movies I guess.

The 1953 version, of course. I was very disappointed with the Speilberg remake. I expected much better from him.

Thanks, shot on a whim. Didn't expect much as I was driving when I took the shot. I did a little cleanup of a few blurred spots, but not bad for hand held in a moving car.

You mean the original film from 1953?
Nice reflective work either way.

Very cool, I've never seen a night shot of the LAX restuarant before.
