Hi Mirek, it's because I was standing to close to the bird with my 300 F4L. This isn't a crop, it's the full frame shot, thats how close I was, I would have loved to have left the tail in if I could.

I guess this is the tail cutting day. This image is great. I like the colors, composition, and the depth of field is perfect. But I will ask the same question I asked Hussain Nasir who posted after You. Why did You cut off the bird's tail?
