A sense of loss and emptiness is so strong in this capture JD !!!! Sepia tone adds a lot !!! Soft tones !!! Empty bed still worm .... so very thoughtful and touching scene ... and wonderfully presented JD !!!

I want this picture in my portfoilio. Perfect in all ways.
The muted tones and the way the light catches the screen are just perfect. Even the colour of the linen is exactly right.
Love the details in the shadows and even like the crop on the chair on the left. Purists could argue it unbalances the picture but I think it helps to emphasise the important elements in this photo.
A masterpiece in my opinion and one of the best photographs I have seen for some time.
This is excellent stuff my friend.

I can't help viewing this without putting *Sweet Dreams my Love* as the companion visual...
The composition with the viewer looking across open space to the bed... an unmade bed...
The feelings you have created here, are made more so by the sepia and the title... A sense of loss & emptiness, be that loss for a minute or forever, not just from the bed shared, but from the smiles, laughter, tears and all the hours shared... :)))
I've read, you say you do not know what your photographic *style* is... Well, whatever you do... PLEASE relax, stop looking... What you do, is *your style*... You are in these images, your soul is in all of these images... There is a very special depth in your photos that takes the viewers mind into that *moment*... Be it maize hanging in a farmers home in Africa, a dark & moody landscape, colourful volkswagons in Mexico, curious children delightful but wary, a group of proud beggars in Spain or the wonderful face of a woman who left her youth behind many years ago...:)))
~~GRIN~~... I'll stop writing now... Just words that come to mind while viewing your images Sir... Forgive me for rambling please...:)))
