Someday I too will work up to taking pictures of people. I get the looks too though, I think we all do whether we realize it or not. For me it is kind of flattering at times, but also a subconcious motivation to keep going. Our images will someday be the past of the future. It is important to record how we feel & where we have been. Both in writing & in photography. Usefilm & what it provides has been a huge inspiration. There are so many wonderful photographers & images here. Our gift of sight is a blessing. I like your interesting photo here Patrick.

I must develop that kind of thick elephantskin as well making me able to do some good streetportraits! Or what about dressing up as a garbagebin or busshelter? - effective camouflage in the city*LOL* Okay, you perverted Oxford massmurderer of fiddles, I must go:-)My head aches.

I was on the bus earlier today and there was a man in front of me with the most unusual back of the head. I thought it would be interesting to do a series of back of the head portraits (though getting people to participate could be tricky).

Oh Annemette, people look at me like I'm a pervert mass murderer rapist peeping tom... and that's on a good day! The looks I get... but I am developing a much thicker skin than I used to have (gossamer thin, it was)... now I if I want a photograph, I usually get it.

Yes and that is good, Patrick. That is also why your photos turn out so good! I wish I had the courage to take photos of people like this, but the one time I had my camera in the street, everybody looked at me and that I didn“t like. Take care

Yes... he didn't look well, the poor chap. But one thing I've learnt taking photographs is take it and ask yourself whether you should have done later...

It“s not always the face but so much more that tells about a person. In this case I can“t help but think about what my mother always tells me about dying people. They often get a "number 11" on their neck like this man. Therefore this is a very melancholic photo for me to watch.
