After posting I read back through the comments and after seeing the cropped version, I retract my previous comment, I like the sweeping view better.

Arches, visited only once back in 1980, I was still a pup then, but great place to take photos, excellent capture, suggestion, try a version cropping off the right have and focus on the dark clouds within the arch and wood in foreground, think that make it even more powerful. The full view, is effective, but the sky seems calm and peaceful in the upper right but stormy and threatening within the arch.

For me, 55 percent of the magnificence of this image is the expansive sky and dramatic distortion as the clouds stretch into the corner.
In some states, having THAT magnificent a sky and cropping out major portions can get you arrested. (ok, maybe not arrested, but probably smacked over the head with a Nikon).
My artistic predilections, therefore, exclude me from detracting from Rob's sky in the slightest.
...just sayin'

Congrats on this one Rob - very well deserved. I am compelled to respond to Nicholas's comment, with the utmost of respect, amd say that the crop he presents IMHO takes the life, light, depth, and movement out of your composition.
Your composition has a super balance, and the erosion lines on the rock formation (top right side) is echoed by the clouds just above and to the left of the rock and is echoed again in the downslope of the land and rock below the rock. These same angles are also echoed by the vegitation and the deadwood giving your eyes a great flow of angles and leading you right to the window in the rock formation to the left. The way you framed this whole composition encourages the viewer to fall/slide down into and then through that "window."
Another one for the book and the wall! PS - that deadwood would have looked really great in my rock garden area.

Very well done Rob. I am especially interested in images like this where you have the ancient rock formations that are millions of years old worked in with the indications of modern civilization that are only a hundred plus years old.

A rather spectacular view Robbie. Sky looks more realistic than your first post. Is that horizon straight? just kidding!!
