Thank you for your suggestions. I had one brief opportunity to get this shot. I was visiting the area. Yelled "STOP!" to the driver; jumped out; ran back and forth to get some fast shots; jumped back in car. The sun was setting and light nearly gone. I had to brighten it to see any details. I attempt to capture the essence/spirit of interesting places and people. They call out to me . . . .

Hi Donna, yeah it's a sad subject with lots of room for contemplation. Did you consider to take the picture in darker weather/sky? Or maybe even with rain? As to enhance it's mood...

Hi Donna,
I always feel so sad when I see old abandoned houses, cars etc.I wonder why, where did the people go?
Lovely composition and lighting with wonderful textures and muted colours.
