I totally agree with Andy and Andrew here... This is a phenomenal capture of atmosphere and activity, putting the viewer right there. I can smell the food and feel the heat. This is fantastic, Darrin, just fantastic. 7's from me as well...

Darrin, full marks for this one. It shows a busy kitchen scene, with a real cultural ambience and a reality that makes you really look at all parts of the photo back and forth. A strong foreground with the main guy lit up and more to look at in the BG. The carrots add colour and the whole thing just looks bloody good. Very original and has the signs that you have taken it.

This is a particularly nice composition Darrin. What is good about it to me is that with all the activity going on throughout the image, your eye gets drawn like a magnet to the profile of the cook just to the right of center. The way you caught the light falling on his face is AWESOME. Great DOF too. Isn't that 50mm f/1.4 a killer lens?
