About Flash back .. after the 2 consecutive storms we had in one week (with yesterday the heaviest one in 4 years), i got back into my archive: we had the same series of 2 storms in a week back in december 2003 .. this series was the trigger for a buffer beach before the head of Oostende, which is now protecting the city centre against the frontal impact of storm waves .. this made it rather less interesting for photography as waves don't crash into the seafront walls anymore, but i can understand priorities of course !

Another good shot of the power of the waves and sea, Peter! Congratulations for being willing to go out in that to show us this event. An interesting series tonight.
Dave.

Impressive image! What I like most is the action you have caught in the people. The young one is taking evasive action. Perfectly timed (in regard to the breaking wave and the buffer). CC

excellent, i can feel the water running into me
btw Peter look at the inner frame, as you can see there is a thin white line that i think is due to the sharppening when we upload images (especially BW); you should choose no sharppen at all or low; i have had same problem many times
regards, txules

There was a very big storm indeed yesterday.
Brave to go out and make pictures of it.
