Hi Mel, bringing colour back in is actually quite simple : turn the shot to b&w, put a new layer on, blending mode color, adjust opacity to liking, then take a brush and a colour and start painting by hand ! The choice of colour can be one of a colour shot of the same scene (if interesting enough) or like i do, from a very appealing IR colour shot i saved from some place .. that blue for the sky f.e. is always picked from that photo, it gives the best results on my photos ..

Je gaat versteld staan: deze foto is van zondag laatstleden .. zon, licht briesje, 12° !
Zo ziet een infrarood foto er nu eenmaal uit, de kleuren heb ik nadien weer aangebracht in PS.

Really nice post-processing, Peter. That selective color project was a whole lot of work, I do believe. With excellent results.
The IR work on this too sure made those trees look ice coated. I have similar trees in my yard and they have shown up like this a few times here lately.

Fantastic!!!!!!!! I wish I could get colours like this with my infrareds. This is beautifully composed too, Peter, very well done indeed. I don't suppose you have any tips on how to bring those colours back into a shot thats all pink, as mine are?
