~~GRIN~~... Can't wait to see the results Robin... I'm itching lol... This is a great shot by the way... Love the detail and DoF... Excellent...

Between two *Ladies of the Lens*I have now learnt what this does... Thank you for the lesson Robin and Mrs Mel... :)
Had no idea... Short of half closing my eyes and trying to pinhole focus I think I get it... LOL...

I've only got LB 0 and LB2.....not sure I can work out LB3....good luck to you!!! Only hint I can suggest is: pop in the f/5.6 aperture disk, and wander around your subjects....flowers, garden, kids, grandkids...point and then move your head w camera backwards and forward to get focus, just like you do with the macro lens. Once you get used to that, go with the movement on the edges of the LB, to move the blur around. You can do all this sitting down at your computer too, trying focus on various things around you. My 4 year old neice uses mine every thursday when we go shopping....and she's taking wonderful shots of flowers in the supermarket now, using LB 2 and the macroset +4...it won't take you long :)
Hugs

Mel

Hi Jan...yes, it's the 3.0. I was going to buy the 2.0 but the locking mechanism (and a generous hubby) persuaded me to get this model. Hope to have some fun with it soon and I will let you know what I think.

I remember seeing Joel's posts from his first(?) attempts with a LB...sounds like there's a big learning curve attached!

Take care...Robin

ps...I macro everything, too lazy to change the lens! ;)

Have fun with LB; this the new model 3, right? I have never used one but keep thinking about it. Every time they come out with a newer and better model, the price goes up but I have still not "acted". I look forward to seeing what LB does for you and may take the plunge. Let me know what you think about it after you get a chance to play.
PS: How ironic that you macro photo the LB; but it is a good macro.
--Best to you, Jan

Thanks Sam, appreciate the visit and the vote of confidence, hope you're right! :)

A bit about the Lensbaby (copied, in part, from their website)...
Lensbabies bring one area of your photo into sharp focus, with that "sweet spot" surrounded by graduated blur. You can move the sweet spot to any part of your photo by bending the flexible lens tubing.
Lensbaby™ has the impressionistic look of Holga™ cameras, but with an SLR camera's convenience and creative control.

Check it out at http://lensbabies.com/index.php

Take care...Robin

Ok Robin, I Love the crop and the fantastic details.
I do not know what a Lenbabie does. But I am quite sure you will master it.
My Best Regards

Sam Graziano III
