Well, Don, this first snowfall should have happened a month ago. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought of a square cropping, but I've chosen to keep the path pointing into the lower right third. A bit empty though, I got to admit. Here's one I took a few minutes before :

Thank you. It's beauty is maybe something exotic - but then not bacause even though winter and snow are part of me, at 59 I still feel the exictment of a kid when the first signs of them fall on us.

Now this doesn't look like global warming?? I really like the mood of this picture. Have you tried flipping this horizontally? Might give the composition a different perspective. Don.
