Beautiful portrait. I like the skin tones and soft lighting. In my opinion, her right eye should not have been cut due to the pose. She has beautiful eyes and I would have captured both - complete.

Shoot at a fashion show - lucky devil! Yes I agree that for this image Vanessa has not benefitted from the makeup artist's hand but... as pointed out this was for a fashion show on stage and the two have different requirements.
Great to hear that you are continuing on your journey in photography Paul.

Well, fashion shows call the shots, not the models. The coordinator has an overall 'look' he wants to attain, and the models simply comply.
I do agree that she's a natural beauty, and doesn't need much makeup at all.

I am looking fwd to seeing your images! It's strange... i'm in teh motion picture industry, yet I would *love* to be able to shoot a fashion show some day!
Were you able to use any other flash, aside from what you mentioned? ...or was the stage lit for the photographers?

this image looks great! It's almost candid quality from her expression works perfectly with the hot light.
