With reference to my comment on "Jurassic Viewpoint", you actually pretty much solve both my concerns here: the crash barriers on the road have almost disappeared, and the haziness becomes part of a top-to-bottom gradient and so not pulling my eyes away. Seems others like it as well - congrats on the award!
It always amazes me how rugged the mountains look in the UK - things of this height are regarded as hills in most other countries. But I know from time spent in Scotland and Wales years ago that these places can provide challenging conditions for even the most experienced mountaineer.

You have captured some absolutely perfect light in this breathtaking composition. Put that light together with this composition and it is a sure winner. This must have been one of those times when you knew you had something the second you saw it. (probably even before the image was snapped)

Thanks for your comments. Yes I do know Ian Cameron. He is a good friend and I have learned so much from his vast experience. He was standing only a few feet away when I took this shot. He uses medium format whilst I opt for 35mm and digital.

For a guy who's just setting out in photography you've certainly got an eye for a landscape. Your portfolio is very impressive, especially so as you've chosen locations not famed for the strength of the light and where quality light can come and go in seconds. Looking forward to much more.

Clearly magic place and beautiful photo. Very nice warm colors that are enouph saturated even into the morning fog because of the sunlight. Good clarity and quality image too.
