Hi Rodrigo, Yes i came to the same conclusion and bought a D80 last October and have been equally impressed with it. Just in time too as i wore out my D70 not long afterwards....after 140,000 shots the shutter gave out in -40C weather near the Arctic Circle this winter :( thanks for the detailed response with your feeling about the D80.

Hello Tim and thank you for taking the time to comment on some of my images. I've been using the D80 for the past 4 months or so and I can tell you that I'm well impressed with its capabilities compared to the D70.
Basically the D80 is a smaller, plastic (but well built) a bit slower D200, the sensor is the same and the image quality is exactly the same, so basically if you are not shooting sports and don't need 5fps the D80 is a cheaper easier to carry around alternative not compromising quality. What I say basically is if you are planning on buying a D200 for landscaping or architecture for instance, I would preffer to spend the extra money in quality glass and buy the D80. In the end all the bodies preform extremelly well with the right glass.

Your portfolio is also superb. I am looking forward to seeing more of what you are posting. How do you like the D80? you seem to be getting some great stuff with it.
