shadows are perfect here. They add the perfect amount of contrast to the bright yellow and support the darker hair color very well. I like it.

Chris, you keep pushing the envelope, great vision. The cutoff head is fine. I presume this was done to avoid a distracting horizon, which would have drawn the viewer's eye away from the subject. By cutting off her head you create tension, drawing the eye to the subject.
I find this kind of shot inspiring; I know I could do it if I had the foresight. I have to learn to break more rules, take risks.

I once saw a field of sunflowers like this when I was a child.. have spent many a day trying to find that field again with no luck. I just love this posting.. the feeling that the field of flowers goes on forever, and the positioning of the model to break up the sea of yellow. Thanks for posting it!

The strong sunlight did cast shadows, but it is still a very good shot. I love the canvas of sunflowers .. beautiful

Great photo,

The only two things I would change is a shallower (is that a word??) depth of field and adjust the cropping so we can see the top of her head.

I really like the non reflective sunglasses.

Well... We did not have much time. We had to clear a fence, leave the car on a freeway and take a couple of shots. I don't think it was legal, but I guess these are the risks you have to take if you want some good shots in your collection:)
