Wow. I collect old RF cameras also... primarily Olympus with a few Canon and Minoltas as well. I've got a collection of XA's that include 6 XA's, 1 XA-2, 1 XA-3 and 1 XA-4. They are all shooters, but I enjoy the original XA the most. I always have one with me. It is so good for candid work. I generally shoot Fuji Reala. It is slow, but after I scan the negative, the B&W that it gives when de-saturated is pretty darn good.
Hi George thanks for the comment there are not so many XA users around which is sad as they are great cameras thr HP 5 is great film and very little grain for 400iso , I am a collector of rangefinders with too many to mention but my passion is thr 70s Japanese compacts and olympus especially pen series as i do like to fix and repair these old cameras as they are forgotton jewels , your portfolio is outstanding with some wonderful shots from around the world i will be dropping by to see more shots from your travel cheers Simon
Finally... someone else who uses an XA (or variant) camera. I was feeling like the lone ranger for quite a while. I just got an XA-2 a few weeks ago, but haven't used it yet. This is an excellent photo capturing a very complimentary reflection to the main image. I've been meaning to try this film too, so now I will. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
