Lovely colors here, Keith, and I can see why this drew you to photograph it. I do think that the light wasn't working with you on this one, as it's fairly harsh for the composition. Opinion, of course, but for this particular scene, with the door and the large expanse of wall with the tree growing up from the base of the wall, a more subtle light would be good.
For this one, in this kind of light, I might crop in closer if this were mine, accentuate the door itself and a bit of the shadowplay on the brickwork around it. I don't think I'd include the foreground road.
