Gayle, here's Paul's list of excuses:
- His 580EX flash was in manual mode, but too strong for this shot
- The crop was necessary to constrain it within an 8x10 print aspect
- It was late morning, terribly hot, and we were all grasping to use whatever shade we could to avoid the harsh mid-day lighting.

The soft glow is fine,but she looks as if placed in front of a studio backdrop rather than outside...not fond of cut off at the knee crop and perhaps would work if was shown further back in the water...

Very nice! You have done some good work on her skin to make it look so great. The problem for me is that the background seems unmanipulated and therefore the contrast between the foreground (the girl) and the background (the water) is too great. I've try to do something myself, by blurring the background a bit.
