roger - NEVER leave! you are one of my favorite photographers on usefilm. heck, anywhere. it is such a great way to view another culture, and i REALLY appreciate your photos and the care you take with them, esp the descriptions and about. :)

Hi, Jessie. Wow! you just boosted my average number of comments... thanks for all the encouragement. I get a bit discouraged sometimes, wondering if anyone is really interested in or enjoys my peculiar view of life in Japan, but now I know at least YOU do!

Well, they would be cute for a bathroom a child uses. It might even encourage the child to use these things. Although, I am, sure the novelty would wear off soon. They are sort of cute, though, but not for my bathroom either. MAry

OK, I had been very surprised if you were not using aperture priority. I do the same but with fixed ISO.

Glad you liked it, Rob. I shoot only aperture priority, with a slowest speed of 1/100th sec (because of my hand tremor) and allow the ISO to adjust automatically up to 800 (1600 is too noisy). So yes, auto, but with control of aperture and some control of shutter speed. Can't do that on my faithful manual film cameras. [wry grin]

Sure, a toilet brush is not my idea of "cute" either! But they do make for an image full of fun.
I know I've brought up the subject of borders / frames before, but I feel that a single pixel black border would help hold this image in, especially at bottom left corner and mid-right edge.

The colors are screeming off the screen. Very vibrant. Again I notice auto settings. Is my assumption correct?
