Don't know how I missed this looking through my friends' pages before, but I LOVE the distortion in this photo. I think it works really well here, ESPECIALLY in contrast to how "straight" the pavement is!

I have always been fascinated by that park, it has the beauty of a classic ruin in the middle of a sprawling metropolis.
I was there.. without a camera. Bummer!

Yes, I know such nets and similar "protections" since they have them here in Lucerne also. The funny thing here is to see how the birds find ways to get behind them. There they sit in their nests behind the net, and so I ask myself, are they to protect the building, or the... birds? ;-)

Thanks Nick. A spectacular place. The dark interior of the dome is actually a black net . . . presumably to prevent birds nesting or bats roosting . . . and effective in that task. Very cool place to visit.
