You make me laugh. Your words were about the same as Doyle said to me when I said if I had told him I love my Darby (dog), except I think he lost count!

It's excxellent Marlyce... You're a very quick learner and 'what a wonderful lens' You got !!!! It's amazing.
I actually have a few shots of the moon and they look like small round light bulbs compared to this image!!!
I agree the comments are very helpful ..we all see things so differently.

Thank you Dave. I still have not learned the sharpness part of PS yet. I have only recently started taking raw and still working on getting that down before I move to something else.

Thank you Laura, the rims of the craters are there...I just don't see the American Flag...think I need a more powerful lens (don't tell Doyle)

Paul, this makes an outstanding wildlife lens too. I just came back from San Francisco and have some awesome shots of birds---when I get time to deal with them.

Thank you Lisa. I have a lens that only goes to 200, but after seeing the moon a few times, I knew I needed more. Doyle thought me crazy, but not the first time he thought that, now he wants to use it.

I'm back again Marlyce but I will ration the time I spend on UF in future as I neglected other parts of my life before my break. Hope you are well sweetie.
This is indeed a better shot than the previous one and you have achieved great clarity in this difficult subject. I echo other comments and say that this is one of the best moon shots I have ever seen and certainly the best on UF. Well done to you my dear. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray;)

Well done, Marlyce, this one is way better. I fiddled with it a little in photoshop CS to try and boost contrast and sharpness.
You may have more success with a partial moon, as sidelighting will help emphasize the terrain. Great work.

Thank you Paul. I have listed my lens and I can tell you it is well in the money range of what you want to spend for a lens, at least in my neck of the woods. I am very happy with this, and have even taken hand held pictures with this without a lot of problems. Thank you for you comment.

I saw you had posted two images of the moon and I must say this one is my favorite. The details are awesome! I wish I had a stronger lens than my 70 - 200 to try to attempt this. I saw the moon a couple of nights ago and I'm sure you took this then.
Great image! 7+!

Wow great moon shot Marlyce! That is awsome capture at that ISO level I would think for the d50! That must really be a good lens. I am looking for a long focal length lens that I can afford. Something around that range under say 1000 bucks? You did and excellent job on this.....Great detail. I think this is about the best moon shot Ive seen!
Congrats Marlyce,
