And I agree with you about high contrast shots being kinder, I feel the same about my own self-portrait work!! Hides a multitude of imperfections doesn't it !!? Cheers, R

Hey Anthony, cool self-portrait! This reminds me of the stipple pictures we used to have to do in art classes in high school, white white areas and then the solid blacks as well. Wow, I really really like this, perfect light and perfect amount of grain. Also a great expression on your face. Love it. 7+++ and a favorite.
