Wow... just found this... Sorry I was so late... 1 year and 7 months later I answer... Because if ya bother to look at a map... Gary, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois are connected like twins... VERY close together. Chicago was the only place for miles around that had a baseball team. It was touchy. I could have gone to the Cubs or the Dark Side (White Sox)... Chicago has 2 professional teams... I happened to land on the team that is wonderful... the Cubs. And that is how I became a Cub fan... kind'a....
