Dakho, jhar ta kintu amar monay hochchay scanning related. while scanning, you can try out setting in the Nikon scan utility the following options:
Digital Ice (normal)
Unsharp Mask - All 10,10,0
All other options should be zero.
Next, bring the photo unedited to your computer, and then try editing it. If the noise still persists, I am sure the scanner sensor has developed a problem - could be that there is something like moisture (in all probabilities) or may be fungus or dust, which is causing additional tiny refractions to cause this noise. To check this, just scan one such image with a flat bed scanner - if noise levels are less or equal then the coolscan has a problem - coz the noise levels in coolscan are expected to be lower than a flatbed.

2:3 ta ami kore dekhbo ... ami just ektu chomok type rekhechcilam .. kintu noise ta amai seriously bhabacche .. eto grain keno hocche boloto .. slide e to nei .. 100 iso .. scan er problem na resizing bujhcchi na .. eta kintu amar onek cchobitei dekhcchi ... tumi ki ei bypartai ektu alokpat korte parbe ???

tobe the panoramic crop doesn't suit this IMHO - 2:3 suits this better amar monay hoi, or, may be 3:2 also. Ektu under, but seta problem noi. besh noisy, seta kintu problem.
