Ah Ana... you think so... Mathias Gruenwald colours? I had to look the artist up on the internet to find out what you meant. Perhaps the yellows, yes...
I don't mind creating a "glamourous" image as long as it is artistic. And it depends of whose definition of "galmour" we refer to. I do not like anything that is, as I have mentioned previously, "tacky". I shoot many model's portfolios, and that includes fashion and glamour, as well as the tradition head shots. So in some ways, i cannot get away from "glamour". My hope is that I make it "tasteful".
This particular image is but one of many from the same shoot, and I put it together for the sake of the colours, which I feel worked very well, especially using cross processing. However, the attitude of the model in this one shot, pleased me in black and white, hence my choice to post it as such. I intend to post more from this shoot in cross processed colour. I hope you will take a look.
Warm appreciation of your commnets, ana, and best wishes, Aniko :)

Hehehe Paul!
Yes, she is a very cute model... I will post more of her. I must have shot off at least 30 or 40 rolls of film on her. (Probably more!!) She has an amazing "something" about her, and she is always ready to try anything new. Fun and easy to work with.
Thanks for your comments as always...
Hugs~ Ani :)

Szuper kontrasztok. A fehér arc és a fekete ruha... színte vonza a tekintetet az arcra.
Szuper! :) szia. Bálint

I see. Normally a simple grayscale conversion wouldn't give that greasy texture of good b&w, but from seeing the color version it's apparent where those qualities came from. The color version is an interesting combination of colors and textures. Nice job all around.

I really love how the eyes look so different from each other, due to the shading.
My REAL reason for posting again is a plea:
PLEAse post more shots of her...she's so angelic.

Dear ana: I think I also like Despair more! :) But I enjoy photographing many things and in many styles. Variety is good!
Here is the colour cross processed original version of this shot.

Oooops... sorry James.. I meant her right eye, which is at left of her face in the image...
Also, the "reason" for the strange colours in the original were simply through inspiration. The backdrop is a huge abstract painting and I dressed the model in similar colours to fit in with the background. I knew the cross processing (especially under tungeten lighting) would really kick up the yellows.
Cheers! Aniko :)

Hi James and thanks for your interest. I changed the mode in photoshop from RGB to grayscale after adding a little extra contrast and sharpness to the left eye. I also smoothed with the blur tool set at 37 some of the slight grain (that comes with cross processing) around the shadow areas in the model's face. I have attatched the original, which was a cross processed print image.
Warm Wishes, Aniko :)

By which process did you make your b&w conversion? The final product is very rich and liquid.

Thank you Dave! This shot was created in a makeshift studio of a friend's home. Lighting was simple. 500 watt tungsten lamps and my friend holding a refector to bounce more light into the model's face. Originally a colour image, and cross processed at that! I like both versions, but feel this particular portrait works better in black and white high contrast. I am so pleased you call this a sensual shot rather than a sexy one. I am not into shooting what we in Australia refer to as "page 3 glamour". It is "tacky". I do, however, love portraiture with "attitude".
I thank you for your generous comments.
Warm Wishes, Aniko :)

Your portraits are always so sensual and this is no different. I agree with Paul, what a great shot. Perfect lighting on your model's face gives it that high contrast with the black clad arms.
Best wishes, Dave
