I sympathise with you Ness. I did the same a while ago, going back home to Penzance, to snap my old stomping grounds. Sadly most had been leveled and built on. Makes me wish that I had a compact digital (Waterproof too lol) to snap all of those great moments and places.
I still have the memories........just ;-)

This is beautiful. You did a great job in making it look like a memory from the past. Very dramatic
I love the feel of it being slightly errie and out of this world but yet the giant tree returns you to the real world. Wonderful work with using color to set the mood or lack of color.

One thing about it we had fun as a kid. I know where I grew up there was a dairy and fields. Now a trailer park, homes and business. Oh well we know and can think back. Excellent composition.

Poignant Nessa . . . and lines up with the saying "You can never go home"! Oh, sure, physically maybe, but it's not the same home from the memories. What was big is not . . . what was bright is less so . . . and, often, what was here or there is now gone or replaced. Very nice work!

Very moody photoart image. The light and the effect is very good, dreamlike.
I like the cool colours around the vibrant green of the tree.
There are some little vertical lines that break the misty feeling of the fields.
